Give your grandparents/parents an android tablet with this software on it and email photos to the frame. Share the email address with other members of your family and allow everyone to keep in touch. You can also attach the frame to a dropbox account and pull photos from that.

You can also use it as your own personal phone photo frame as it pulls photos from the camera roll and pictures folder.
